Painting German S-Boats for Cruel Seas from Warlord Games

I've painted up my German S-Boats for Cruel Seas.  This is a World War 2 naval war game focused on small craft published by Warlord Games.

These ships are nicely detailed and look very nice when painted up.

I decided to go with a simple paint scheme instead of some of the camo patterns I've seen others use.  Simple paint schemes allow me to get models completed quickly and still look nice on the table.

I've painted 6 S-boats and these will be the core of my fleet.  Next I'm going to be adding some larger ships.  I've got some cargo ships and a couple Fairmiles to paint.

  3. Great work on these S-Boats! The clean, simple paint scheme really works well and lets the details of the models stand out without overcomplicating things. Sometimes keeping it straightforward is the best way to get a fleet table-ready while still looking sharp. Six boats already make a great core force, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the cargo ships and Fairmiles turn out next. Cruel Seas always looks fantastic when the fleets are fully painted! ⚓🎨
