Painting Abyssal Warlock Model from Mantic Games for Kings of War Vanguard

It has taken a few months, but I've finally come to the end of my Abyssal Warband for Kings of War Vanguard.

I saved the best for last... The Abyssal Warlock was the last model of the project and looks great.  I'm pleased with the results and this thing is a great center piece for the warband.

I hope you have enjoyed following along with me as I worked through this project.  Please let me know what you think.

With this project finished, I'll be on to the next project.  I have a couple of smaller things I'm going to work on before I start the next big project, but I'm looking forward to some naval work in the very near future.

Painting Abyssal Seductress Model from Mantic Games for Kings of War Vanguard

I continue to work on finishing my Abyssal Warband for Kings of War Vanguard.  This time, I painted a Seductress.

This is a command model for the warband and has some interesting skills that will hopefully be fun to use in a game.

I like the look of the model and am especially please with the hearts she is holding in her hand.

I only have 1 more model to paint for this project and look forward to moving on to the next one.

Painting Abyssal Despoiler model from Mantic Games for Kings of War Vanguard

I'm nearing the end of my Abyssal Warband project.  I finished an Abyssal Despoiler for the warband and it is a real beast.

This model counts as "large" so I won't be able to use many in the army, but he looks to be strong enough that his presence will be noticed even if he is alone.

I'm pleased with how this model turned out and look forward to seeing how he works out on the table.

This is my 26th model for the warband and I only have 2 models left to paint.

Painting Abyssal Hellequin and Hellequin Blood-masque Models from Mantic Games for Kings of War Vanguard

Any warband could benefit from some cavalry units in their group.  I painted some Hellequin models to add some strength to my warband and a Hellequin Blood-masque to serve as a mounted command unit.

The Hellequins are support units, so as with the gargoyles and lukers, I can only use a couple of these in my warband.

I didn't really care for the look of the paint job suggested, so I went with a little different look.  I like what I came up with and think these will look nice with the rest of the warband.

These bring my total to 25 models completed for Nick's New Year Painting Challenge.  I only have 3 more models to paint for the project.

With the warband nearly finished, I'm looking forward to actually getting a game played soon.
